So here we are
This is what it looks like
Not much for comfort
But that’s of no concern now
Stripped of dignity
Embracing the misery
Left alone with only thoughts
Inside this room, left to rot
Moving for a mirror
None can be found here
No image, no reflection
Grasping for perception
Courteous, Mysterious
Sympathetic, diplomatic
Callous, Malice
A twisted mouth
Fear has, no place here
It’s pointless now
Suffering has yet to begin
Just wait for what's in store
I have wronged
I have sinned
I will face my destiny
In walks beauty, the absent
No tormentor in sight
Laughable thoughts ignite
Lament this mirthless rite
Reflection on the past
Silent contemplation at last
Everything left to chance
Conjecture, yet to pass
Erroneous judgement led down this rabbit hole
A sickening smile disturbs the wretched
Transgressions laid to bear
The prosecutor, made clear
Be it greed, be it envy
No miscreants worth saving
Solace in silence
Rumination
Enslaving
True vanity
Exposed
Reticent
Repose
Filthy human nature
No matter the nomenclature
The grace, the allure
Too much to endure
Imperfection, indiscretion
Diabolical perfection
Passivity, personality
Ubiquity excreting
Never alone, forsaken
Realize escape is fleeting
Adultery, savagery, barbaric intent
Sapphic pleasures and a rope around the neck
A bastard child, asphyxiation, regret, to go along with a bullet to the head
I have wronged
I have sinned
I will face my destiny
No assistance is required
The time for aid expired
With all the “human feeling” gone
There is no link, no bond
Atrabilious, dejected, rotten to core
Only a touch is not so easily ignored
Was cowardice the key?
Gather the strength to leave
Cannot let the matter be
Subjected to this agony
Hell is other people
The passion resounds
The knife comes crashing down
The howling, ensuing
Humanity's undoing
Paper falls to the floor
All the residents abhor
Let’s get on with it
Let’s get on with it

Jordan Vauvert

I was always intrigued by this group's choice of album covers, it isn't every day that you see high quality space photos in this genre despite the rise of "cosmic" black metal. But the music blew me away, this sounds like Austere took the atmospheric spacey route. (I will assume it's a coincidence that both bands are Australian) porcelainheart-

Jordan Vauvert
Tokyo band contrast black metal's brutal complexity with shoegaze's abyssal grandeur, resulting in an LP that feels crushing, yet infinite. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 24, 2022
